Twitchy Palooza 2009, our annual showcase of the musicians who help our movies come alive, was a smashing success thanks to all our friends and fans who made it out to J. Black's Feel Good Lounge, one of Austin's premier 6th Street clubs.
It was surreal to have our name on a downtown marquee but as soon as the party got started everything flowed perfectly and we kept the house rockin' til late into the night. Hundreds of people came through the club, some we knew others we met for the first time; and all were treated to a series of talented musicians. With our very first CD now available, the night also served as the official launch of TWITCHY DOLPHIN ECHOES, our brand new music imprint.
The evening began with a debut performance by actor and now singer Derick Morris followed by a crowd-pleasing set from Kari K. Look for her music in Twitchy Dolphin's next feature film shooting this summer. After Kari, Jeremiah Houston entertained with his blend of southern rock and country. Clif Haley who composed much of the music featured in Scarlet Waters and several upcoming Twitchy Dolphin projects came next before Houston native Tim Daniel returned to the stage to perform his very first live show in his new Austin home. Jon English capped off the evening's live performances with several songs off the newly released LITTLEFIELD soundtrack CD.
